DVD Review:
I'm a well known animation fan, and gems like this one don't come around often. Never before seen on DVD classic animation from the Warner Brothers Studios! Wow, is all I can say to this one. What a joy these were to watch. I found particular enjoyment in viewing the classic Fleischer Superman episode! These discs can be appreciated by adult fans, but its also wonderful to expose children to these rich and skillful pieces of cartoon history. I recommend this one for all ages!

Summary: Inspired by the best-selling graphic novel by Darwyn Cooke and produced by the multiple Emmy® award winning animation legend, Bruce Timm, The New Frontier is the epic tale of the founding of the Justice League. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are all here of course, and so are Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and Flash - whose incredible origins will be told for the very first time. Strangers at first, these very different heroes must overcome fear and suspicion to forge an alliance against a monster so formidable, even the mighty Superman can not stop it. If they fail, our entire planet will be cleansed of humanity.

Review:
Justice League: New Frontier is the second direct to DVD feature under the new "Dc Universe" production title. The first having been Superman: Doomsday. This is based off of the famous graphic novel with art by Darwyn Cooke. The translation from page to screen here was phenominal. The action is absolute, the storyline and character development is straight on. Its an amazing adaptation. The Dc Universe titles are a heaven send for die-hard comic book fans. I cannot recommend this one enough.

Review:
I hadn't seen this animated feature in many, many years. I had fond memories of viewing the re-runs every year on television as a child. I busted this out for my four year old daughter to watch. She was so blown away that she is now carrying around her stuffed bunny all the time. I don't know what it is about these older features, but they just seem to have more substance and heart that a lot of newer shows. This one is perfect for your toddlers or young children..or for the kid in all of us that wants to re-live the feeling that these retro features gave us in our childhood.
