Here at the Legion we love to spotlight the coolest in new Batman product.  The more unique the better.  When I heard that Mimoco was producing Batman themed flash drives, I knew we HAD to feature them!  Bat-Fans are treated to an entire set of drives, along with a limited edition Retro-Batman drive! 


As you can see from the above pics, the paint applications and design are both fantastic.  We have the recent comic accurate versions of the characters, which is nice.  The drives themselves work wonderfully, you just pop the top off and stick it in your USB port.  I've begun transporting Legions of Gotham files on them and they work great!  A big question...how do you keep them from getting scuffed up?  A lot of us collectors also enjoy using our product...well, they have an answer for that!  Check out these cool keychain hoodies to encase your drives!

The Gotham City Impostors Video Game Trailer


Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today revealed the trailer for the upcoming download-only multiplayer first-person shooter, Gotham City Impostors. Check out some of the insanity that occurs when regular citizens become crazy impostors in the city they call home.

Gotham City Impostors gives players the opportunity to rebel against conformity as they customize their own characters. Posing as amateur vigilantes or villains, gamers will create their very own Bats and Jokerz characters using unprecedented customization options including insane costumes, homebrewed gadgets and a wide range of traditional and imagined weapons. The game will feature maps and modes inspired by DC Comics’ Batman license.

Gotham City Impostors is scheduled for release Winter 2012 and will be available on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network.  The game will also be available for download for PC.  The expected price is $15 /1200 Microsoft Points

Holy CRAP Batman! Dc Comics Legos are back!

WB builds on Lego partnership
Toymaker gets full access to DC's characters, stories

Warner Bros. has expanded its relationship with Lego, granting the toymaker access to DC Entertainment's complete library of comicbook characters and stories to launch "Super Heroes" as a collection of figures and playsets.

The multi-year licensing deal, made through Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will start rolling out the new line in January, starting with 13 characters, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and villains the Joker, Bane, Harley Quinn and Lex Luthor.

The first toys will be shown off at the Lego booth at Comic-Con Intl. this week at San Diego, where 3,000 exclusive Batman and Green Lantern minifigures will be distributed to launch a promo that runs August-December enabling fans to create and submit videos, photos or illustrations of the characters to win trips to Legoland and Warner Bros. Studios. 

WB and Lego had already been producing toys and videogames around the Batman franchise, and will launch a new set of playthings around next summer's "The Dark Knight Rises" through the Lego Batman collection. The "Lego Batman: The Videogame," published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, has sold more than 12 million units since 2008. 

"This partnership gives builders a chance to recreate the characters, vehicles and worlds of some of the most iconic super heroes, so they can relive the action and even customize it -- a proven and winning formula in Lego construction," said Jill Wilfert, VP, licensing and entertainment for the Lego Group.

From the ongoing Star Wars MIMOBOT collection, Mimoco will be issuing San Diego Comic-Con exclusive character, Bossk, the reptilian Trandoshan bounty hunter first seen in The Empire Strikes Back. In a limited edition of 500 units, this cult favorite joins fellow Star Wars MIMOBOT characters Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Yoda and dozens of others. Appearing for an exclusive fan signing, actor Billy Dee Williams of Lando Calrissian fame will be signing at the Mimoco Star Wars booth (#2913M) on Friday, July 22 at 12pm.
 
Previously announced at the E3 tradeshow, Mimoco, with Warner Bros. Batman: Year One is based on the landmark 1987 DC Comics titles from 12-time Eisner Award winner Frank Miller and illustrator David Mazzucchelli. The film depicts young Bruce Wayne’s return to Gotham City in his first attempts to fight injustice as a costumed vigilante. The playboy billionaire chooses the guise of a giant bat to combat crime, creates an early bond with a young Lieutenant James Gordon (who is already battling corruption from inside the police department), inadvertently plays a role in the birth of Catwoman, and helps to bring down a crooked political system that infests Gotham.


Primetime television stars Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Ben McKenzie (Southland, The O.C.), Eliza Dushku (Dollhouse, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) provide the core voices for Batman: Year One. Three-time Emmy® Award winner Cranston gives voice to young Jim Gordon, while McKenzie makes his animated voiceover debut as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Fanboy favorites Dushku and Sackhoff fill the roles of Selina Kyle/Catwoman and Detective Sarah Essen, respectively. Alex Rocco (The Godfather) is the voice of crime lord Carmine Falcone.

Steelers Fans can be a part of The Dark Knight Rises filming

Steelers fans can see the filming of “The Dark Knight Rises,” in person as the movie will be shot in Pittsburgh and is looking for fans to be a part of a stadium crowd.

The movie is looking for fans to fill a stadium in the Pittsburgh area on Saturday, August 6. The one-day filming runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is open to anyone 14-years old and up. Anyone under 18-years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Fans will be asked to bring the same energy they do to Steelers games as they cheer on the Gotham Rogues in a football game against their rival the Rapid City Monuments. 

The fun-filled day will also include door prizes ranging from autographed items to gift cards.

Among those who star in the film are Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sir Michael Caine, Matthew Modine and more.
